Terms of Service

1. The Service

BetterBiz builds custom websites for local service businesses. We generate a website based on your publicly available business information, and you decide whether to activate and maintain it through a monthly subscription. Our service includes website hosting, ongoing revisions, and monthly performance reports.

2. Free Audit and Preview

The site audit and website preview are provided at no cost and with no obligation. You may view your audit report and preview site without providing payment information. No credit card is required to access these features.

3. Subscription and Payment

If you choose to activate your website, you agree to pay the monthly subscription fee displayed at the time of activation (currently $249/month). There is no upfront cost to activate your site.

Payments are processed through Stripe on a monthly billing cycle. Your subscription begins on the date you activate your site and renews automatically each month until canceled.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@betterbizsites.com. There are no cancellation fees, no buyout clauses, and no minimum commitment period. Your site will remain active through the end of your current billing period.

5. Website Ownership

You own your website content, business information, photos, and domain name. If you cancel your subscription, you may request a full export of your website source code. We will provide this export within 7 business days of your request at no additional charge.

BetterBiz retains ownership of the underlying website generation technology, templates, and proprietary systems used to create your site.

6. Domain Names

Your domain name remains your property at all times. If you bring an existing domain, we will configure DNS settings to point to your new site. If you register a new domain through us, it will be registered in your name. We will never hold your domain hostage or prevent you from transferring it.

7. Revisions and Updates

Your monthly subscription includes unlimited reasonable revision requests. Submit revision requests by emailing hello@betterbizsites.com. We will implement changes and send you a preview link for approval before publishing. Standard revisions are completed within 24-48 hours.

Revisions cover content updates, layout adjustments, photo changes, and service page modifications. Major structural redesigns or custom feature development may require additional discussion.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BetterBiz websites to:

• Misrepresent your business, qualifications, or licensing status
• Publish false or misleading information about your services
• Distribute malware, spam, or illegal content
• Violate applicable local, state, or federal laws

We reserve the right to suspend service for violations of these terms after providing notice and reasonable time to remedy the issue.

9. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime for all hosted websites. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party hosting providers, DNS propagation, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of Liability

BetterBiz provides websites designed to improve your online presence. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, including increased phone calls, leads, or revenue. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your market, competition, service quality, and pricing.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Clark County, Nevada.
